It has been a long time since my last video, but I am back and once again thoroughly fascinating to be sure! Stare blankly at my mountain of synthesizers as I attempt to impress you with my continued reign of three-fingered kung fu wombat wizardry! Gawk splendidly at my three-ton brick of stupefying, scarf-wearing ho-hum I’m bored of typing.
This song is called “Circumfusion” and you’ll find it on my CD “umop apisdn.” If you like it, buy it! If you don’t like it, buy it for your math teacher!
A run through Spyro Gyra’s Morning Dance on the Rhodes. Used a Maxon stereo chorus and Maxon stereo phase shifter on this one. I’m still happy I bought an 88, new in 1974. Too bad I didn’t buy a few vintage synths before they became vintage
It’s coming out soon — updated ELECTRIBE SX with SD card storage. ESX SD contains my patterns and a song used in this video. For details, visit http://korg.com/Product.asp…
Hi. This is a chilled out composition written for the Alpha Juno-1. The lead sound is a modification of the E-guitar patch that I have programmed for it. This new lead patch is mono with mild portamento effect added for texture at the attack phase of the sound. The release phase of the patch is also modified to add length to the sound after the key is released. Since it is mono, it can not become over saturated with distortion when playing notes consecutively, the release time only takes effect as after touch.
Synths used: Roland D-50- strings/pads Roland Alpha Juno-1: Lead patch Yamaha Motif-6: DX-7ish tines/chords (1 track) Yamaha QX-3: not used
Please enjoy.
This time I am playing a plain old country song on the Technics organ. The rhytm comes from a Roland Rhytm Arranger while the piano and arpeggios are played on the Yamaha HE-8 organ that also controls the Roland JX-8P synthesizer.
Vangelis and film makers talk a little about the music of Chariots of Fire..The main theme being one of cinema’s most recognisable pieces of music ever.
I always wonder where the inspiration comes from but again I think this video is different then all the previous ones. It began this evening when looking at new items on the MATRIXSYNTH website when I looked at this video of the FabFilter Twin 2 virtual synth. I liked the demo and downloaded the trail at there website. I began to play with it in Ableton Live as VST and when browsing through the drums presets, I found an interesting snare drum. I altered the sound somewhat and the idea was born. Apart from the 5 MIDI tracks for controlling the Doepfer MAQ16/3 using the Novation Launchpad in Ableton Live, there are only 2 MIDI tracks with 3 clips each: one for the FabFilter Twin 2 drumsound and one controlling the Creamware MiniMax ASB with the bass sound. Then I dialed in two 8-step sequences on the Doepfer MAQ16/3 and it sounded very interesting. Added some Mellotron strings from the Roland XP-80 and there you have it. The full video is about 13 minutes which I will upload soon to my website.
just training on my RS-7000 and try to program Jarre’s Chronologie 6 main theme to that groovebox. Korg Prophecy is connected as midi controller to RS and playing bass sequence. Drum sounds are from RS and phasered pad from JX-305. And at the end .. ?
Drums, Bass and other sequencer parts are live programmed to Yamaha RS-7000. Korg Prophecy plays synth bass, Roland JX-305 is played live via midi, other sounds plays RS-7000. It’s little bit slower than original, but I want it so.
pedrogomis asked for a tutorial on programming a CS80 sound on the Korg Radias… so here it is! Sorry about the slightly noisy sound quality - I think I had the levels up too high when recording.
